Are You Ready for Kickoff?

Dear %%First_Name%%,

The big day is almost here! You've done so much to get ready for your %%Launch_Date%% Pennies for Patients campaign. Take just a few more steps, and your event will be off to an amazing start:

  • Send the parent letter home with students. (Hint: You received a packet of these with your coordinator kit.)
  • Share your school's promotional video and link it to your online giving page. (Video not ready yet? Check out page 6 in your coordinator guide.)
  • Email local media to invite them to your Pennies for Patients kick-off event. They can help spread the good news!
  • Distribute student coin boxes and classroom collection boxes to teachers.
  • Capitalize on your momentum! For example, list the campaign on your school sign or share the coin facts and jokes below with students.

Thanks to you and everyone at %%School_Name%% for your devotion to curing blood cancers once and for all!

Quick Question

What is an Honored Hero? An Honored Hero is a local student survivor of leukemia, lymphoma, or myeloma. Some schools write letters to their Honored Heroes. To find out how, see page 16 in your Coordinator Guide or visit studentseries.org.

"When I was new to coordinating the campaign, I wish I had known the importance of educating students and staff about the purpose of the campaign. Also about using the online donation page...it made counting so much easier."
