What does membership to The Mailbox Gold get me?
Gold features include The Mailbox® digital magazine (fresh new activity packets added monthly), an interactive calendar, collections, private notes, a classroom resource toolkit, and a print packet for one-click printing.
What are collections, and how can I use them?
Collections are groups of ideas/activities that you compile. They’re kind of like folders, except you can visually browse the content you’ve added there and find what you need more quickly. You can also choose to search your collections if you know you saved something.
You can create new collections as you find things you want to keep, or you can create any number of collections in the overview page so they’re ready to go when you start looking for activities. You can rename them whenever you want.
The best way to get familiar with collections is by using them. Get The Mailbox Gold for just $29.95/year.
How do I rename or delete a collection?
From your collections home view, you can click the “edit” or “delete” buttons under each collection. Don’t worry—if you hit the delete button by accident, you can easily click the No button and nothing will change.
Can I save something to more than one collection?
Yes. We encourage you to set up collections that are specific enough that most activities and ideas will belong in one place—this is the easiest way to return to what you’ve collected (though you can also search for an item across all of your collections). If you really want to save something in more than one place, you can do that easily by repeating the "add to a collection" process from the content’s toolbar.
How do I add something to my calendar?
You can add an activity or idea from the details of a piece of content by clicking on the toolbar icon that looks like a calendar. You’ll be asked when you’d like to add the item on your calendar—don’t worry, if you’re not sure, you can easily reschedule activities for a different day or time.
How do I reschedule items on my calendar?
From any view of your calendar, you can click on the item and click “Edit event.”
Can I sync my Gold calendar to my Outlook, Gmail, or iCal calendar?
Not yet, but we’re considering adding this kind of functionality in the future.
How much does The Mailbox Gold cost?
Gold is just $29.95/year. This auto-renews every year so you don’t have to do anything to keep your account current, and you can cancel any time.
Can I cancel any time?
We think you’ll love The Mailbox Gold features, but in case you do want to cancel, we’ve made it easy. When you’re logged in, just go to “Manage Account” and click on “Update Subscriptions” and click on “Update” next to the Gold membership you would like to cancel.
Can I give a Gold membership as a gift?
Yes (and what a thoughtful gift!). Please contact customer service at to order a gift subscription.
Do I have to download anything to use a Gold membership?
All you need is a current web browser (Internet Explorer 9 or higher, Chrome, Safari, and Firefox all work). If you download PDFs, you will need a current version of Adobe Reader (you can download it for free) to look at them after they’re downloaded to your computer.
I want membership to The Mailbox Gold for my school’s library. Can I do that?
Since Gold features are intended for individual planning, we don’t currently offer a Gold membership for entire schools. If you’re interested in purchasing a group of Gold memberships for your school or department, please call our customer service department at .
Can I download my saved items?
Yes! Any item can be downloaded by clicking the download icon in the toolbar (an arrow pointing down in a circle).
Where did my MyMailbox files and folders go?
If you were a member of MyMailbox (but not Idea Center Gold), you no longer have access to files and folders. But now, keeping your files saved as long as you’d like is just $29.95/year with a membership to The Mailbox Gold.
Where is Idea Center Gold?
Instead of Idea Center Gold, we’re now offering exclusive Gold features (like collections, calendar, notes, and print packets) that you can use with all the great content available on our site and in the digital magazine. You can learn more about The Mailbox Gold membership on our pricing page.
Where is the Toolkit?
